Dolly Parton is set to wrap up the year with the release of both a new book and her first-ever rock and roll album. The book, titled “Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones,” is scheduled to be released on October 17. It’s a stunning collection of stories and photos that highlight Parton’s creative journey with her iconic fashion sense.
Parton shared her approach to fashion during an interview, emphasizing the importance of wearing what makes one comfortable, regardless of others’ opinions. She offered a piece of advice that she believes applies to everyone: “I think everybody should wear what they’re comfortable in, even if other people are not comfortable with it. If you’re comfortable, you’re going to do better. Everybody has their own taste and their own style.”
A month after the book’s release, Parton will celebrate a significant milestone in her remarkable career with the launch of her rock and roll album, “Rockstar,” on November 17. This album will include new songs, covers, and a variety of special guest appearances, featuring artists like Kid Rock, Rob Halford, Chris Stapleton, and Steven Tyler.
Dolly Parton is not only confident in the quality of her upcoming rock and roll album, “Rockstar,” but she also sees a connection between the album and her recently released book, “Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones.” She views both projects as unique representations of her and wants to share them while she is still alive to oversee their presentation.
Parton expressed her desire to have a hands-on approach to her work, stating that she doesn’t want to wait until she’s no longer around, at which point someone else might carry out the same projects but without her personal touch and experience.
Parton also explained that her decision to create a rock album was inspired by her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She initially had reservations about it but ultimately decided to earn the recognition through her music. She believes that she has indeed created a great rock album and is proud of the result.
She is set to discuss “Rockstar” in more depth during an upcoming interview with Chuck and Loudwire Nights in November.
